Bill Said This on the Meet the Press Forum. "These people are just collecting a check instead of taking anything that pays beneath $15 an hour and actually working. Yes, there are a lot of people having problems locating work but when your sights are set at $40K a year plus, sorry those jobs are just tough to come by. Times are tough but at what point do we say enough is enough for the unemployed"
How come it's OK with you that the richest 2% get 80% of every dollar? How come it's OK with you to hand out $850 Billion with a B to rich people, many of whom don't even want it and Your OK with that, but your fellow Americans that are just trying to keep their house, pay their bills, and feed their kids right before Christmas you don't think deserve enough money to get by? They should just go live in their cars I guess. It's OK with you to give $850 Billion to the Rich but NOT to help out your fellow man with 1/3rd of that amount of money. Shame on you! There are very few jobs out there, even low paying jobs. How about we ask our government to stop giving a tax breaks for businesses that are outsourcing all our jobs. There should be a tax penalty for shipping jobs out just for cheaper labor. You are so short sighted it's unbelievable. Your side won't be happy until we are all working for $2.00 a DAY! How about we stop crucifying anyone that makes a decent wage and ask our government and Corporate America to give us ALL a decent wage? Are you kidding me? If we all had good paying jobs think about how that would spur the economy. If people have money they buy stuff. How about giving the big corporations some incentive to bring jobs back home and helping out Americans. How about we tie the amount a job pays to the amount the highest paid person in the company makes including all their perks? Employees should get 5% of what the highest paid CEO is getting. Now that would be patriotic, that would make America great again.

Welcome To The Real Wonderland
Everything is upside down in the land of the White house. Even Alice would be dizzy. Republicans who are not the majority (yet) are the leaders of the country calling all the shots. They are the party of family values but do NOT want to extend unemployment benefits for people who cannot find work. So I guess these families don't count and they should just live in their cars. Which family value is that? I'm not quite sure. The Government is supposed to be we the people, helping protect our freedoms. To worship God , as long as that God is Jesus, liberty as long as you are not queer, and the pursuit of happiness as long as you don't expect bankers that were given billions to actually do what they were supposed to do and adjust your mortgage so you can keep your home. Apparently a patriot is someone who waves the American flag, sings God Bless America and then says to the guy living in his car, "screw you, you lazy bum. Pull yourself up by your boot straps" not noticing the guy has no boots. The Tea Party Republican patriot believes that if we just cut more taxes everything will be fine. This is the definition of crazy when you keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. The tax cuts that were in place for ten years did not create jobs or we wouldn't be in the worst recession since the Great Depression, when you give a millionaire a tax cut they just have more money. Unless that millionaire is forced to use the tax cut to create jobs they have no reason to. If on the other hand you raise taxes on that same millionaire but give tax incentives to invest in new technology or other business opportunities that millionaire is more likely to spend it on a new investment opportunity than give it to uncle Sam. Yep everything is upside down, wacky, crazy, but I still believe we have hope. We will get threw these hard times and maybe see that the crazy rules that lets a Senator invisibly put a hold on good legislation is a bad idea, and that the filibuster rules need to change, and we need to raise the cap on social security, so it will be their for our children and grand children. Maybe we will pass a bill to put a two million dollar cap on all election spending. Maybe we will stop billions of dollars coming into our elections from who knows where, and we will require any candidate in any national election to participate in ten debates that are paid for by our government and televised around the world. Maybe we will invest in our country, rebuilding our roads and bridges, build new high speed trains, build a modern electric grid for solar, wind, and other energies to be used and have more energy efficient cars that won't pollute and will get us off oil. That will be the Wondrous land I look forward to seeing. And maybe just maybe you could even be a Muslim, Hindu, Christian, or any other faith in America and not feel oppressed.

Some Times The Right Thing To Do Is Hard To Swallow
I hate that Black Mailers sometimes get their Black Mail. I think this compromise is the right thing to do as much as I hate it. There are Americans that will truly be hurt if it does not pass. I Love that we have a president that can see this and is willing to do the dirty work to help regular working Americans. My hope is that this will finally wake up Americans to the fact that the Republican party is Not the party of family values unless the family is the MOB. My hope is that this will finally make people take notice that the Republicans are only concerned about the deficit when it comes to cutting helpful programs and education for regular Americans but are totally willing to ignore the deficit in order to fill the pockets of the rich and powerful.

The Party of Black Mail
Democrats and Republicans have become nothing but a bunch of old fashion mob style Black Mailers. Anytime someone gets a chance they black mail either side to get what they want. Look at Ben Nelson the Blue Dog Democrat from Nebraska? He saw a chance to Black Mail his own party for whatever it was that he wanted. Now it's Republicans Black Mailing Democrats for tax breaks for the ultra rich. I think we need a new party. The AMERICAN party that doesn't sit around figuring out how to Black Mail the other side. this would be the party that just does what is best for regular Americans and does it because it is the right thing to do. The party that votes on stuff and gets it done if it is the right thing for all Americans. Wouldn't that be nice:) I can dream.

Compromise Or Stand On Principal?
The president gives Republicans Billions in tax cuts to the rich to show he is reaching out to Republicans. Happy now? Is this what you really want your good Christian Republican leaders with all their high morals to do? Throw Americans out in the streets with nothing, because there are no jobs, so they can give the ultra rich more money, and increase the debt by BILLIONS! They are sooo worried about the debt. So now the rich businessman that has a few billion already, has the Republicans hand him another few million that he/she already had in his/her pocket because the taxes were never taken the last ten years. They have had the money in their pocket for the last ten years! Why didn't they create jobs with it? What will they do with the money? There is no more demand for their products today than yesterday because regular working folks don't have enough money to feed their families and pay their bills and stay in their homes. So they are going to keep it and say thanks Uncle Sam! They are not going to hire people just to have them sit around and in the mean time Americans will be put in seriously desperate circumstances that might force them into homelessness or crime! Is this really what you want from your government? I hope the Tea Party sees they are being punked by Republicans! Is it time to make some sacrifices and stand on the principal that it is WRONG to hold hostage the small amount of money to help struggling Americans? There would have to be some pain and some sacrifice from all of us but it might be worth it to hold back the sheer greed of the Republican right! But after much thought I know Republicans will learn nothing and stay as greedy as ever while there will be millions cut off of the small amount of unemployment that keeps them afloat. Once again the President is correct. We must allow this completely irresponsible tax cut for the ultra rich that was supposed to end in January continue. Shame on the Republicans for putting the rich above what is best for America.

The Headline Should Read Republicans Add Billions To Deficit!
The Republicans got their way today. They got the Bush Tax Cuts extended for a couple more years by holding the American people hostage. The tax cuts will add billions to the deficit and do nothing to create jobs. They told Democrats if they didn't give the rich tax cuts then they would not give the American people that cannot find a job any relief by extending unemployment benefits. Once again the Democrats did the right thing for the American people and went along with it because they unlike the Republicans care about average working Americans. Read the quote below from Ben Bernanke's interview on 60 Minutes and ask yourself "Are the Republicans really doing what is right for the country?

A: Well, it’s a very bad development. It’s creating two societies.
And it’s based very much, I think, on– on educational differences The
unemployment rate we’ve been talking about. If you’re a college
graduate, unemployment is five percent. If you’re a high school
graduate, it’s ten percent or more. It’s a very big difference. It leads
to an unequal society and a society– which doesn’t have the cohesion
that– that we’d like to see.
