Bill Said This on the Meet the Press Forum. "These people are just collecting a check instead of taking anything that pays beneath $15 an hour and actually working. Yes, there are a lot of people having problems locating work but when your sights are set at $40K a year plus, sorry those jobs are just tough to come by. Times are tough but at what point do we say enough is enough for the unemployed"
How come it's OK with you that the richest 2% get 80% of every dollar? How come it's OK with you to hand out $850 Billion with a B to rich people, many of whom don't even want it and Your OK with that, but your fellow Americans that are just trying to keep their house, pay their bills, and feed their kids right before Christmas you don't think deserve enough money to get by? They should just go live in their cars I guess. It's OK with you to give $850 Billion to the Rich but NOT to help out your fellow man with 1/3rd of that amount of money. Shame on you! There are very few jobs out there, even low paying jobs. How about we ask our government to stop giving a tax breaks for businesses that are outsourcing all our jobs. There should be a tax penalty for shipping jobs out just for cheaper labor. You are so short sighted it's unbelievable. Your side won't be happy until we are all working for $2.00 a DAY! How about we stop crucifying anyone that makes a decent wage and ask our government and Corporate America to give us ALL a decent wage? Are you kidding me? If we all had good paying jobs think about how that would spur the economy. If people have money they buy stuff. How about giving the big corporations some incentive to bring jobs back home and helping out Americans. How about we tie the amount a job pays to the amount the highest paid person in the company makes including all their perks? Employees should get 5% of what the highest paid CEO is getting. Now that would be patriotic, that would make America great again.

Welcome To The Real Wonderland
Everything is upside down in the land of the White house. Even Alice would be dizzy. Republicans who are not the majority (yet) are the leaders of the country calling all the shots. They are the party of family values but do NOT want to extend unemployment benefits for people who cannot find work. So I guess these families don't count and they should just live in their cars. Which family value is that? I'm not quite sure. The Government is supposed to be we the people, helping protect our freedoms. To worship God , as long as that God is Jesus, liberty as long as you are not queer, and the pursuit of happiness as long as you don't expect bankers that were given billions to actually do what they were supposed to do and adjust your mortgage so you can keep your home. Apparently a patriot is someone who waves the American flag, sings God Bless America and then says to the guy living in his car, "screw you, you lazy bum. Pull yourself up by your boot straps" not noticing the guy has no boots. The Tea Party Republican patriot believes that if we just cut more taxes everything will be fine. This is the definition of crazy when you keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. The tax cuts that were in place for ten years did not create jobs or we wouldn't be in the worst recession since the Great Depression, when you give a millionaire a tax cut they just have more money. Unless that millionaire is forced to use the tax cut to create jobs they have no reason to. If on the other hand you raise taxes on that same millionaire but give tax incentives to invest in new technology or other business opportunities that millionaire is more likely to spend it on a new investment opportunity than give it to uncle Sam. Yep everything is upside down, wacky, crazy, but I still believe we have hope. We will get threw these hard times and maybe see that the crazy rules that lets a Senator invisibly put a hold on good legislation is a bad idea, and that the filibuster rules need to change, and we need to raise the cap on social security, so it will be their for our children and grand children. Maybe we will pass a bill to put a two million dollar cap on all election spending. Maybe we will stop billions of dollars coming into our elections from who knows where, and we will require any candidate in any national election to participate in ten debates that are paid for by our government and televised around the world. Maybe we will invest in our country, rebuilding our roads and bridges, build new high speed trains, build a modern electric grid for solar, wind, and other energies to be used and have more energy efficient cars that won't pollute and will get us off oil. That will be the Wondrous land I look forward to seeing. And maybe just maybe you could even be a Muslim, Hindu, Christian, or any other faith in America and not feel oppressed.

Some Times The Right Thing To Do Is Hard To Swallow
I hate that Black Mailers sometimes get their Black Mail. I think this compromise is the right thing to do as much as I hate it. There are Americans that will truly be hurt if it does not pass. I Love that we have a president that can see this and is willing to do the dirty work to help regular working Americans. My hope is that this will finally wake up Americans to the fact that the Republican party is Not the party of family values unless the family is the MOB. My hope is that this will finally make people take notice that the Republicans are only concerned about the deficit when it comes to cutting helpful programs and education for regular Americans but are totally willing to ignore the deficit in order to fill the pockets of the rich and powerful.

The Party of Black Mail
Democrats and Republicans have become nothing but a bunch of old fashion mob style Black Mailers. Anytime someone gets a chance they black mail either side to get what they want. Look at Ben Nelson the Blue Dog Democrat from Nebraska? He saw a chance to Black Mail his own party for whatever it was that he wanted. Now it's Republicans Black Mailing Democrats for tax breaks for the ultra rich. I think we need a new party. The AMERICAN party that doesn't sit around figuring out how to Black Mail the other side. this would be the party that just does what is best for regular Americans and does it because it is the right thing to do. The party that votes on stuff and gets it done if it is the right thing for all Americans. Wouldn't that be nice:) I can dream.

Compromise Or Stand On Principal?
The president gives Republicans Billions in tax cuts to the rich to show he is reaching out to Republicans. Happy now? Is this what you really want your good Christian Republican leaders with all their high morals to do? Throw Americans out in the streets with nothing, because there are no jobs, so they can give the ultra rich more money, and increase the debt by BILLIONS! They are sooo worried about the debt. So now the rich businessman that has a few billion already, has the Republicans hand him another few million that he/she already had in his/her pocket because the taxes were never taken the last ten years. They have had the money in their pocket for the last ten years! Why didn't they create jobs with it? What will they do with the money? There is no more demand for their products today than yesterday because regular working folks don't have enough money to feed their families and pay their bills and stay in their homes. So they are going to keep it and say thanks Uncle Sam! They are not going to hire people just to have them sit around and in the mean time Americans will be put in seriously desperate circumstances that might force them into homelessness or crime! Is this really what you want from your government? I hope the Tea Party sees they are being punked by Republicans! Is it time to make some sacrifices and stand on the principal that it is WRONG to hold hostage the small amount of money to help struggling Americans? There would have to be some pain and some sacrifice from all of us but it might be worth it to hold back the sheer greed of the Republican right! But after much thought I know Republicans will learn nothing and stay as greedy as ever while there will be millions cut off of the small amount of unemployment that keeps them afloat. Once again the President is correct. We must allow this completely irresponsible tax cut for the ultra rich that was supposed to end in January continue. Shame on the Republicans for putting the rich above what is best for America.

The Headline Should Read Republicans Add Billions To Deficit!
The Republicans got their way today. They got the Bush Tax Cuts extended for a couple more years by holding the American people hostage. The tax cuts will add billions to the deficit and do nothing to create jobs. They told Democrats if they didn't give the rich tax cuts then they would not give the American people that cannot find a job any relief by extending unemployment benefits. Once again the Democrats did the right thing for the American people and went along with it because they unlike the Republicans care about average working Americans. Read the quote below from Ben Bernanke's interview on 60 Minutes and ask yourself "Are the Republicans really doing what is right for the country?

A: Well, it’s a very bad development. It’s creating two societies.
And it’s based very much, I think, on– on educational differences The
unemployment rate we’ve been talking about. If you’re a college
graduate, unemployment is five percent. If you’re a high school
graduate, it’s ten percent or more. It’s a very big difference. It leads
to an unequal society and a society– which doesn’t have the cohesion
that– that we’d like to see.

Spurring on the economy while riding a lame Elephant.
Once again Tax breaks do NOT create jobs. Demand for products creates jobs. Middle Class Americans with good jobs that have money to buy your product creates demand. In my opinion it is that simple. Here is an idea, Some really rich dude should look at my argument as an experiment and buy a town then have some kind of business that pays the towns people really good and a rule that every new business that comes into the town must pay that same good wage. Then see what happens. What would this town look like in five years.

Politicians: "We are not a witch". "We are you."
Our leadership, our government, our congress, our senate, are saying, "We are you.", "we care about you", Republicans say we want to give you "less government", "a lower deficit", "lower taxes." At the same time Democrats say, "you have national health care." Nice, I like insurance but I already had Kaiser. What does our government want for us? What are they going to do for you? I guess to answer that we have to ask which "YOU", are we talking about? The "You" that is working a job making about $10k, $20k, or $30k per year or, the "You" that is making over $250k per year? The "You" that makes over $250k already has tax cuts, STOPS paying into SS after about $108k. Why, I don't know. The "You" that makes over $250k can afford accountants and lawyers to insure they pay as little taxes as possible. They also get tax cuts for shipping jobs out of the country, while the "You" that make less than $108k pay every cent of the SS tax, has lower and lower wages with less safe work places, gets kicked out of their home while the banks won't help with the bad loans. What do the Republicans mean when they say less government in your life? Does that mean I won't have to go to the DMV anymore and be there all day to get a drivers license, or spend hours getting my car through emissions, or maybe I won't have to renew my tabs or, maybe I won't have to bother with filling out confusing tax forms every year. Maybe they will stop SPAM in my INBOX or my mailbox from being flooded with ads I don't want. That would be nice. But no, what they mean by less government means ..... hmmm, well I don't know what it means. Does it mean they will stop fixing roads and bridges? Nope it can't mean that, they stopped doing that a long time ago. Maybe it means they will stop going to wars all over the world. Probably not. Ok, so were not to sure about less government. What about a lower deficit? Well they want to extend tax cuts to the richest Americans which will add to the deficit so, I haven't heard too many other things that will lower the deficit. They say they will cut spending but, over the last ten years they spent like there was no tomorrow. OK, so we are not quite sure how they plan to lower the deficit except they did say they want to take away working peoples retirement money (pensions) to do it. I must say I am not down with that. Maybe the rich bankers that got all those big bonuses should pitch in a little something to lower the deficit instead of taking away the retirement money from middle class hard working Americans. They say they want to lower taxes. Cool, who doesn't want lower taxes. I wonder how they will do that? They could extend the tax cuts that we currently have but that is not really lowering taxes that is keeping it the same as it is. Do we start to see a pattern here? Not really doing much of anything are they. Just sayin. Now lets look at the Democrats and what they want to do for "You" under $250k a year. Well so far they have already cut taxes for 98% of Americans that make less than $250k a year. I bet you didn't even know that. They actually did get a healthcare bill that really does help "You". Did you know that right now your insurance company cannot drop you because of a preexisting condition? Did you know that your children can stay on your insurance plan until they are twenty six? There are some other things in it that are good for "You", but it would make my blog way to long. They want to make it even better by having more choice and more competition. The Democrats want to have prescription drugs prices lowered by buying from the drug makers directly in bulk like Walmart, Kroger, and Target do to get the lowest prices for their products. For some unknown reason Republicans are against this. Democrats want to create jobs by investing in our country building fast rail, new bridges, better roads, and new schools and new government buildings. Think of how many jobs could be created with just the hight speed rail project alone. Construction, cement, steel, wood, and a whole lot more will be needed for this project creating lots and lots of jobs and a high speed train would be really cool. But Republicans are against this too. They say it is wasteful spending. How is a high speed train across the country a waste? The skys are already really overcrowded and not everyone likes to fly. I don't understand why they stand in the way of what you would think they would want to do to help regular middle class hard working Americans. Well folks I hope you start to watch what the Republicans are doing to "You" and not for "You". You still have a chance to fix it though. Next election vote for the people that really do want to help you.

What is a Patriot?
What is a patriot? Someone who loves their country? Yes! Someone who waves the American flag? Maybe. Someone who sing patriotic songs like "America the Beautiful"? Sure! Someone who starts a war without being attacked? Uh, it doesn't sound very patriotic. How about someone that screams about having to pay taxes that pay for our Army, Navy, Air Force, Interstate Highways, Forest services, Fire, Police, Coast Guard and a lot more, while at the same time saying " Keep your hands off my Medicare"? It is easy to scream about having to pay taxes but, should you be screaming about it while just a few months earlier you were screaming about how the government wasn't doing enough for you when the oil was flowing into the gulf! Is this patriotism? Hmmm. Many of the pundits on the radio talk about freedom, flag waving, and patriotism but that is where it ends talk, all talk. Their real job is to make ratings and "Punk you". The country was really founded on the freedom to express ideas wasn't it? The freedom to practice your religion no matter what it is, even the Muslim faith; the idea that an Americans should actually be able to pursue happiness! What a great thing. Pursuing happiness. I think it is really hard to pursue any kind of happiness when you have Republicans that want to ship all of our jobs overseas. Pay the lowest possible wages; they even want to lower the minimum wage that most families cannot live on. They want to put most of the tax burden on you, pretend to care about the national debt while they increase it by giving the rich almost a trillion dollars to put in their pockets at your expense. It says in the bible you will know them NOT by their words but by their deeds. The deeds of the Republicans are many. I know many people believe that Republicans are the voice of family values but, lets take a look at that. On the surface it sounds really impressive to say I am for family values, against abortion, for personal responsibility, and financial restraint. WOW, I am for most of those ideals. The problem is the Republicans talk about that stuff but they do not practice much of it. First off No one makes a woman have an abortion. It is a very difficult decision that responsible women make based on their circumstances. The dirty little secret is that even Republican women get abortions. No one makes a women do it. It is not an easy thoughtless choice. It is one of the most difficult decisions anyone can make. They make the choice and it should be their choice not the decision of Republican hypocrites. I don't even need to go into the history of the many, many, many GOP scandalousness stories; and that is just in the last 12 months. So the idea that the Republicans are the voice of family values is a total joke. Lets look at the idea that Republicans are fiscally conservative with your tax dollars. If this were really true they would HAVE to be for letting the Bush tax cuts expire and reduce the national debt. But NO, they want the rich to keep the tax cuts that they had 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 2 years ago, last year, that are somehow supposed to create jobs now. Why will they create jobs next year if they have not created them over the last 10 years. ASK THEM! They don't have an answer for that or for the cuts in spending they pretend they will make. Stop listening to what they say, and start watching what they do. You will know them by their deeds NOT their words! I think a patriot is someone that loves their country and their country is made up of many, many, people with many different faiths, looks, traditions and a REAL patriot is someone that has his or her brother or sister AMERICANS back! Not the one that is reaching into his or her pocket to fill their own.
Sarah Palin destroys "Dancing With The Stars"
This could be it folks. The end of Dancing With The Stars. We are in the semi-finals of the show and Curt Warner has just been voted off. People are starting to talk. Ron said, "If Bristol Palin wins one more time I will not watch D.W.T.S anymore." "These Tea Party people are keeping her on." "She should have been gone a while ago." People are getting angry. Sarah Palin has spurred another new controversy! "Bristol seems like a sweet girl that I am sure would be fine to have tea with but she just cannot dance". And that was from a Republican! The feeling is being echoed all over the country. Let us all hope that this great nation can come together as one and vote. Vote for the two great truths, Bristol cannot dance and Sarah cannot, and should not not govern. Well, I will admit that Bristol dances way better than her Mom could ever govern. I will give you that much. Once again the Tea Party people have chosen to vote for NOT what is best for the country but for what makes them feel good!
