The New Tea Party Aristocracy

If anyone remembers history they will remember the French Revolution and the French Aristocracy where the disparity between the rich and the working class reached a pinnacle and the rebellion of the people was a blood-lust where the world learned of a new device called the guillotine.  The French people overthrew their ancient government in 1789. They took as their slogan the famous phrase"Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite"--Liberty, Equality, Fraternity. Equality, or doing away with privilege, was the most important part of the slogan to the French revolutionists.  What is happening in America right now has some frightening similarities.  The rich have become ultra rich and now the United States Supreme court and created the most frightening new Aristocrat of all called Corporate Person-hood.  This new Aristocrat called MR, Corporate Person-hood has been embraced by the GOP Tea Party Republicans with a passion.  They want to make Mr.Corporate Person-hood their very best friend.  In the past the GOP Republicans have had other friends like the Mr.Middle Class and Mr.Upper Middle Class but they have been left behind.  Now they have their best friend who treats them really, really well. MR, Corporate Person-hood give them a lot of money and power which they do not want to loose.  They have for the last forty years wages war on the very people they are supposed to be representing.  The most recent attacks have been by GOP Tea Party Republican governors who have taken away the rights of workers in order to serve their new best friend MR, Corporate Person-hood.  The new GOP Tea Party Republicans have now begun their attacks on the elderly and poorest Americans by destroying Social Security and Medicare as we know it.  Some states have had devastating storms, floods, and fires and the GOP Tea Party Republicans have chosen not to help but to harm by holding the American people hostage once again.  They have held up funds to FEMA unless cuts are made to fund programs that create much needed jobs.  The new GOP Tea Party Republicans continue to enrich themselves and build their power with their friend MR, Corporate Person-hood while Americans continue to suffer.  How long will it be until America has a new revolution?  My hope is that in 2012 these new Tea Party Aristocrats are swept away and a wave of Progressive Democrats come in.  America needs Progressives that can stand up against the new Tea Party Aristocracy and their new friend MR, Corporate Person-hood.  In this Progressive Democrats opinion MR. Corporate Person-hood needs to face the guillotine.  America needs jobs not more cuts to anything and everything just so the GOP Tea Party Republicons can beat Obama.  I was talking to a friend of mine and sadly it became clear he was one that was on the Tea Party side.  He said he hated Obama and all the problems were Obama's fault.  As we talked and I started asking him questions and going through problems and policies one at a time he agreed with me on almost every one.  The Policies of Obama and the Democrats were the right way to go but, in the end said basically, too bad Obama isn't white.  I believe unfortunately even in 2011 that color can trump all, even sanity in the minds of some racist Americans.

Why are the liberals doing what they're doing?

You mean why do liberals fight for middle class working Americans and why do GOP Tea Party Republicans hold the American people hostage (Debt Ceiling)?  It is because the people that follow the GOP Tea Party Republicans feel that if you are not able to stand on your own two feet, build a business, get rich and pay for everything yourself then too bad for you.  They believe in a fairy tale world that everyone should be perfect and if you are not then go live under a bridge.  Liberal Democrats believe that the government should actually help ALL of the American people and not punish them for their imperfections.  Liberals Know that the top 2% of America (the rich) are the only people that GOP Tea Party Republicans are fighting for.  When you them talk about tax reduction they only mean tax reduction for the rich folk.  The reason we don't get cheap health care (The Affordable Care Act) is because if We (All Americans) paid into the health care system it would be Cheap.  The GOP Tea Party Republicans wouldn't get HUGE checks from big Pharmaceutical companies anymore and big campaign checks from Corporate Health Care for big profit companies.  Liberals want Jobs, Health Care, and Education Free for All Americans.  GOP Tea Party Republicans Want Health Care for profit, Jobs in China, For profit education, no regulations, and they want Americans to keep working up until they are 70 so that they can keep wages as low as possible and keep profits high.  In other words the GOP could care less about you and hates our own Government.  They say it right out loud.  "Government is the problem".  So if you want no jobs, no benefits, lowest pay, no health care, education that is not affordable and unattainable, roads, bridges, and buildings that are falling down, food that makes you ill, bad air and water, and a government that will say though luck when your state has a huge catastrophic event, then the GOP Tea Party Republicans are your choice.

The Rand Paul Radical Deficit Cuts!

Rand Paul is asking for big donations from middle class Americans while at the same time cutting their throats.

Look at the list of cuts below and ask yourself where is the sacrifice from the rich and powerful?  Where is the help from the Wall Street brokers that are getting the big Bonuses?  Just today Eric Cantor walked out of the "Bi-Partisan" talks to cut the deficit because Biden said OK we are giving some, Now it's your turn.  But Nope, GOP Tea Party Republicans are saying NO to any shared sacrifice.  The middle class has to bear ALL the burden that the GOP Tea Party Republicans are going to heap upon the American middle class.  They won't even consider closing loopholes to big oil.  Let's walk through his cuts.

Rand Paul: "Specifically, my Cut Federal Spending Act reduces funding for the:"

*  Department of Agriculture by over $42 billion.

OK maybe there are reasonable subsidies that can be cut.  I bet this also cuts Food Safety Inspectors.

*  Department of Transportation by over $42 billion.

Red Flag here.  Cuts to DOT means cuts directly to safety.  This means fewer weigh station inspections.  More overweight and illeagle trucks on the highways and freeways deteriorating them faster.  This means fewer State Troopers to check for tired or drugged truck drivers.  

*  Department of Energy by over $27 billion.

He wants to cut the very thing that will bring about new prosperity.  We need to INVEST in Energy NOT cut it.

*  Department of Health and Human Services by over $26 billion.

Yes lets cut where it will hurt the middle class and the poor the most.  All those people that have been forclosed on and lost jobs will now have even fewer options to get by.  What happens to them.  All just so the rich can keep those Bush tax cuts that were supposed to create jobs but didn't

*  TSA by almost $1 billion.

What happened to Home Land Security?  Who will be inspecting Airports, Trains, and Ports of entry.  These ideas are really scary.

*  Housing and Urban Development entirely, excluding veteran housing programs.

We can afford to pay Wall Street Bankers, and the rich but not the middle class and the poor.  We have to attack them and take away the only tool there is to keep decent wages (Collective Barganing) 

*  Department of Justice by over $9 billion.

How does that work?

*  Department of State by over $20 billion.

My proposal is accomplished entirely without touching Social Security or Medicare, and believe it or not, still leaves 85% of government funding in place.

Not a word about creating jobs that would bring IN revenue (tax dollars).

It is the same old story over and over from the GOP Tea Party Republicans,  Yes we made mistakes that drove the country into this horrible situation and now you should trust us.  You can trust them alright.  You can trust that  they will give the rich that bought them the tax breaks and YOU will pay for ALL of it.

How to Grow Our Economy.

When Franklin D. Roosevelt  brought us through the first Great Depression he created jobs by investing in OUR country. He created thousands of jobs by building bridges, roads, dams, buildings, and much more. We invested in our country which put money in the pockets of the middle class. When the middle class has money they buy things. They buy cars, boats, homes, and much more. the Trickle down economics of Regan did not work and will never work because the rich don't invest because of a tax cut they invest because of an opportunity. They invest because they have people who want to buy something that they make. When you have a middle class that can Afford to buy things it creates opportunities for not only the middle class but the investor as well. We need to once again invest in the middle class and invest in our countries infrastructure, by fixing our bridges, roads, and education. Tax cuts for the rich does nothing to improve our economy. The economy was actually the strongest in the 1950 when the rich paid taxes at a rate above 90% and everything was regulated. Trucking, banking, airlines, Wall street were all regulated heavily and all of America was prospering. The results of all the deregulation since Regan has been catastrophic to our country and needs to be reversed.

What The Past Tells Us All About GOP Leadership

There was a time that Republicans had the ability to lead this country.  That time has past.  History of the last twelve years proves they cannot lead.  They took this country into two wars but didn't include them in the budget  while at the same time cutting taxes for the rich and large corporations.  They spent like we had money to spend.  Has there ever been a more irresponsible governing body in American history?  They cut regulations the allowed banks to becomes casinos and brought us the biggest crash to the economy since the Great Depression.  The elections of 2010 brought in a new wave of extremism from the Tea Party.  Americans frustration with unemployment, housing foreclosures, and watching the government bail out the Banksters and Wall Street who's corruption brought us the worst recession since the Great Depression.  This frustration culminated in the most radical group in history taking over the House of Representatives.  The GOP knew that they had to use their power to change the message of that election.  What the American public wanted was a change in the partisanship in congress.  The real message from the American people was Work Together for the betterment of the American people.  Stop all of the filibusters and get something done for the middle class.  But the GOP decided to take over the message to say it is all about the debt and the deficit.  Wrong!  They have stuck with this message hoping it would stick and that Americans would not pay attention to what they really want to do.  They want to slow down the improvement of the economy as much as possible before 2012.  How do they do that?  They do it by cutting as much as possible to the budget so there is little job growth.  More cuts to programs mean fewer jobs.  It's that simple.  The GOP Tea Party Republican attacks on middle class workers is another sign of how radical they right has become.  Does anyone other than Tea Party members really believe all of our deficit problems will be solved if American workers have lower pay, no benefits or a retirement?  Anyone that seriously looks at our problems knows that is NOT the answer.  Good paying jobs, benefits and a retirement is what makes America great.  Middle class Americans with money in their pockets to buy an new home, car, boat, and take a vacation is what will power the economy.  The idea that anyone and everyone can pull themselves up by there bootstraps and start a business is just simply far from reality.  Just look around you at all the people you know.  You know that there are many of them that are really not capable of such things.  In a perfect world everyone would do everything just right and put enough away to cover their own health care and retirement.  We do not live in such a world.  The GOP Tea Party Republicans have used over and over again very offensive, hostile, and inflammatory language in talking about the President and the Democrats.  They use words like leftist, socialist, and radicals to describe Democrats, even though their actions have been the most radical in history.  They have used the filibuster more than any time in history, they have attacked and taken away bargaining rights of American middle class workers, they have held the congress, country, and middle class Americans hostage over and over again and are willing to shut down the country in order to push policies that will hurt middle class Americans while protecting the Bush tax cuts for the ultra rich and corporations.
      Now lets look at Obama and the Democrats.
Obama was handed the worst economy since the Great Depression.  He along with the Democratic congress implemented the stimulus package and in less than two years the economy is showing real improvement even with the GOP Tea Party Republicans using the filibuster and holding the middle class hostage.  The GOP has used the filibuster more than any congressional body in history to try to block anything that would help the middle class.  The Affordable Care Act in it's original form put forward by the House Democrats would have given most Americans Health Care coverage in a much less expensive way than what the GOP Tea Party Republicans have inflicted upon us in the name of corporate profits.  Obama also has shifted the military actions in Afghanistan from more boots on the ground to less and increased the use of the predator drones to keep an eye on where the terrorist elements are.  This new approach has given much better results overall with many more terrorist killed and fewer American soldiers killed or wounded.  President Obama also gave the order to get Osama Bin laden which was very risky but should what a great leader he is under difficult conditions.

    The GOP Tea Party Republicans will ask Americans for the opportunity to lead this country again in 2012.  They have proven that they cannot lead and Americans have no reason to believe that they will be able to do so at any time in the future.  Putting America in the hands of the GOP Tea Party Republicans would be devastating for America as they work toward low paying jobs, no health benefits, foreign policy that will hurt America and make the rest of the world hate us.  They had ten years to do something positive and really show their ability to reduce spending and be responsible with tax payers money.  They were the worst governing body in history.  Why would anyone want to do it all again.  When Americans go to the polls in 2012 they will vote for progressive candidates that have policies that help middle class Americans and promote America's ideals all over the world.  Americans will vote to put people before profits and provide a government for the people by electing Progressive Democrats that really care about middle class Americans. 

The GOP Tea Party Republican Propaganda Machine And The Lies They Tell

It has become very difficult for the American people to get truthful information due to the GOP Tea Party Republican propaganda machine. Radio shows Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh and more tell half truths and lies over and over. There are no checks on the bad information going out to Americans. Face Book has helped the people of Egypt have a voice maybe FB can help get some facts out to the American people.  Right after Obama's election the lie was put out that he was going to take everyones guns away and stop the sale of ammunition.  The next lie was the that Obama was a Muslim and then the lie that he was not a citizen.  The excerpt below is from a conversation on Face Book  Jim H said: " the reason the birth and Muslim conversations are relevant and needed, is because the average American citizen is tuning out all serious info because they can't get past the thought that someone may be in the White House illegally and under false pretense of his religion. “The public view of the economy is at odds with the facts, and the blame has to go to the Democrats,” said J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co., a Des Moines, Iowa-based firm that conducted the nationwide survey. “It does not matter much if you make change, if you do not communicate change.”

See? All the polls were right last year, they all showed the GOP taking back the House. The Bloomberg polls showed it too. THIS poll points to the MASSIVE amounts of MISinformation that is getting into the American Public. Obama's birth origin and religious beliefs are a HUGE distraction to the REAL news that people SHOULD be hearing. But they will never hear the real news because they can't get past the birth and Muslim issues FIRST!

 The reason Boehner won't tell his caucus to stop mentioning Obama's origin of birth and religion, is because he LOVES the fact that there are thousands out there that are misinformed. Those are the people who will not vote for Obama NO MATTER if the economy and jobs are rising, because they think Obama is a Muslim illegal! It is a win win for Boehner to make sure his voting base are as ignorant of the facts as they can be.

What Do You want for America?

Did you know that the tax rate on the rich has actually been cut to less than half of what is was in 1950?  It has actually been cut by almost 2/3rds.   The Democrats compromised with Republicans and extended the lower tax rate on the rich even though most Americans didn't want that.  Do you really want health care repealed when it just got started?  Why not improve it especially since they GOP has NO replacement plan.  None!  Even though many Americans are already being helped by it.  Do you want to wait until you're 70 to get your Social Security?  Did you know that anyone making over $110K only pays up to that amount on SS?  We all pay taxes for schools even though many people do not have children in school.  Do you really want good programs cut while the military wastes millions?
             Now that the GOP has power again in the House they have changed their message.  The message is they will focus on spending cuts, not jobs.  When the GOP starts making big spending cuts to programs that also means cutting jobs.  The president put in new protections for our food.  Now since these Tea Party People got elected our food is not safe because they cut all the money out that would pay for the jobs that would protect our food!  Do you really want unsafe food?  They want to make cuts in education.  I find it hard to believe that this is what most Americans want.  Please let me know if how you feel?
